The short version

ejustuncat.com is a personal humour site. Everything on it is posted as a joke. Nothing here is a statement of fact, no animals were harmed making it, and if something of yours ended up here by mistake, email hello@ejustuncat.com and it comes down.

Satire, parody and general nonsense

Every image, title and caption published on ejustuncat.com exists for entertainment. The content is satirical, parodic, or simply absurd. It is not intended to be read as a factual claim about any person, company, product, event or belief.

Where a meme references a real person or organisation, it is caricature, commentary or parody — not reporting. No reasonable reader should treat it as a literal assertion of fact.

No affiliation, no endorsement

This is an independent personal project. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand, company, public figure or organisation that may appear in or be referenced by content on the site.

All trademarks, logos and brand names remain the property of their respective owners and are used here, where they appear at all, for identification, commentary and parody.

Copyright

Memes are remix culture, and content here may incorporate pre-existing material. That use is intended to fall within the recognised exceptions for commentary and parody:

  • In the United States, fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107 — in particular criticism, comment and parody, as a transformative and non-commercial use.
  • In the European Union, Article 17(7)(b) of Directive (EU) 2019/790, which requires Member States to ensure users can rely on the exception for caricature, parody or pastiche.

No ownership is claimed over third-party material appearing in any meme. If you own material used here and disagree with that assessment, the fix is one email — see below.

Takedown and complaints

To request removal of content, email hello@ejustuncat.com. Requests are handled promptly and in good faith. This is a hobby site, not a rights-clearance operation — content is removed on reasonable request, without argument.

For a formal copyright notice to be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), it should include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material to be removed, with enough detail to locate it — a direct URL is ideal.
  4. Your contact details: address, telephone number and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act), a notice should be sufficiently precise and adequately substantiated: explain why you consider the content unlawful, identify its exact location, provide your contact details, and confirm your notice is accurate and complete in good faith. You will be told what action was taken.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can carry liability for the resulting damages and costs, including legal fees — see 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

No animals were harmed

No animals were harmed, inconvenienced, startled or meaningfully disrespected in the making of this website. Any cat depicted in a compromising position was already in it.

Nothing here is advice

Content on this site is not legal, medical, financial, veterinary, psychological or professional advice of any kind. Please do not make decisions based on a meme. Consult an appropriately qualified human being.

No warranty, no liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator accepts no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Links to other sites

Any external link is offered for convenience only. The operator does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party sites.

Taste

Humour is subjective, and content here may be irreverent, off-colour or plainly stupid. If a particular meme offends you, that is a legitimate reaction and you are welcome to say so — but offence on its own is not a legal claim.

Privacy and cookies

This site runs no advertising, no analytics and no visitor tracking, and sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. The only cookie the site issues is a session cookie for the operator’s own administration area.

Routine server access logs are generated by the hosting provider (Vercel) as part of delivering the site.
